Are you having difficulty figuring out your next steps for an unplanned pregnancy? We know it’s difficult, but you are not alone.
Abortion is not your only option. We’re here to inform you so you can make a confident and informed decision for your future.
You Have Two Additional Options
Besides abortion, you have two other pregnancy options: adoption and parenting. You may be surprised by the flexibility of adoption and the amount of parenting support available. Explore both to see if one could fit your situation better.
Adoption
There are three types of adoption plans to choose from. Adoption has evolved over the years, giving the birth mother more say in the process. Whether you want distance or to build a relationship with your child, there is a plan for you.
Here are the three plans:
- Open Adoption: With open adoption, a woman can choose the child’s adoptive family and form a relationship with them. She can communicate directly with the adoptive family and her child through phone calls, letters, or regular visits.
- Semi-Open Adoption: The woman has contact with the adoptive family, but all communication happens through a third party, like an adoption agency or attorney.
- Closed Adoption: This private plan ensures that all identifying records are sealed. The woman remains anonymous, with no contact between her and the adoptive family. Some women may choose this option for closure or when it protects the child’s safety.
Our support team is here to help you explore your options so you can make the best decision for your future. Our staff can answer your questions, provide more information about adoption in Pennsylvania, and connect you to reputable agencies that can help.
